At 779 Kingsway has been the location of various restaurants and eateries over the years. It's one of those rare spots where there's a house hidden away in behind the storefront. Lately there's a city Development Application in the window. Being Vancouver, someone wants to turn it into a marijuana dispensary.
I find these house/store fronts to be some of the more interesting structures in Vancouver. I'm glad you're documenting them. When I was a kid growing up in Victoria our local corner store was like this. It was the called the T&P for Trudi and Penny, the owners two daughters. I figured it must have been the greatest place to live with all of that candy and toys being part of their living room. But then I had no concept of income and inventory at that age :)
